Update 8/11/10: We just found out that this little boy has had both his lip and palate repaired and he is now talking! He is also currently in foster care. The orphanage is going to work on an update to his shared list file as soon as they can.

3 Year Old Boy- Agency List

He was diagnosed with a brain bleed when he was an infant. Last year he had surgery to insert a shunt and since that time he has continued to improve. His referral file is complete with all relevant medical tests and evaluations.

He is described as being a good eater and has great strength and is a good sharer. At this time he is standing (but not walking) and babbling (but not talking).

There are more pictures of him available on request.

13 Year Old Boy- Agency List

He was born in May 1997 and he has diagnoses of cerebral palsy and exotropia of left eye. According to the agency reps who met him, "The caseworker at the orphanage stated that his cerebral palsy is minor and that he acts pretty much normal and his eyesight seems to be somewhat normal also. Though we are not qualified to give medical evaluation, anyone interested in this child should check out all the videos of our camp to see what we saw during our two days there."

The following is a description of this boy by another adoptive family: “Both of my girls spent years of their lives with him in the same orphanage. I know this little boy would make an excellent big brother, my girls just smile when they see his photo, and give me a big thumbs up! It is my opinion, having met him two times, that information in his file is possibly not accurate and he has much greater abilities than the paper information would suggest. PLEASE CONSIDER this boy if you have a place in your heart and your family for a big brother.”

There are more pictures and even video available upon request.

12 Year Old Boy- Shared List

-He has been matched with his forever family!-

THIS IS HIGH PROFILE SO I HAVE BUMPED IT TO THE TOP OF MY LIST. FAMILIES WITH SPECIAL CIRCUMSTANCES WILL BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS CHILD'S ADOPTION!!!!!!!

He is a healthy boy (born December 1997) and he is described to be very smart, honest, handsome and caring.

He enjoys reading literature as well as drawing. He also enjoys singing and has a very lovely singing voice. He is a leader among the children in the orphanage, does well in school and is very intelligent. His favorite subject is math. His caregivers describe him as happy, confident, friendly and proud. He is very gentle and helpful to the other children and he excels in sports, especially running. He is now in the orphanage, but was in the care of a local foster family for most of his life prior to coming to the orphanage. He is very self-confident and able to take care of himself well. He has experienced family routine and life outside the orphanage and he WANTS to be adopted.

The orphanage has WAIVED his fees for adoption (i.e. no orphanage donation) and there is an agency in the US who has agreed to facilitate his adoption for FREE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Adoptive parents would only need to be responsible for dossier/document fees, USCIS fees, and travel.

Note: I know several people who have met him and I will say that I have rarely come across a child who made such a significant impression on so many people. Several agencies, as well as the CCAA itself, are resolved and determined to find this boy a home. He has impacted so many... it is time that we work together to find him a family of his very own.

Notes from person visiting his foster home: "He walks beautifully and is such a happy little guy. I really didn't see any limitations in his day. I have good pictures of him and could talk to any interested family about him. He would be a wonderful match! I don't see his dx having a huge impact on his daily life."

10 Month Old Girl- Shared List

-She has found her forever family!!!-

She was born in September 2009 and she has a diagnosis of "Maldevelopment of Lower Limbs".

She does not have any bone or orthopedic issues. Instead, her left leg appears swollen (large) and red. It is suspected that she has a vascular problem. She had a CT scan at the end of June and the report stated:

"The length of both lower limbs is basically same. The bones are complete. The joints are in the places. Comparing with the right leg, the soft tissues of the left leg are thicker. The muscles of both lower limbs are normal and the hierarchical structures are clear. Spot-shaped and curve-shaped high density shallow can be seen at the subcutaneous fat of the left leg. The borders of these high density shallows are clear. Suggestions: Subcutaneous multiple deformed blood vessels of left leg is considered. The thicknesses of legs are not same."

7 Year Old Girl- Agency List

-She has found her forever family!!!-

This little girl is desperately and urgently in need of a family. She recently had a disrupted adoption (while still in China) and the agency has a limited time to place her. They are offering a $1000 reduction of fees in order to place her quickly.

Her special need is listed as Microtia and we have gotten confirmation that this is her ONLY need... her file is completely accurate. The claims of the disrupting family have been checked out and were found to be false.

The agency has until Sunday to place her, after that the SWI may not refile her paperwork. If you are interested please contact me at the email address above and I will share agency details as well as additional photos of her.

2 Year Old Boy- Shared List

-He has found his forever family!!!-

This adorable 2 year old boy is busy, chatty, tall, developmentally on track, happy, and healthy and he currently available on the shared list. He has been on the list longer than 30 days so he can be locked by ANYONE.

SN is listed in his file as "webbed penis" and specifically he has undescended testicles and low hormone levels. He has recently been evaluated by American medical professionals at a renowned hospital in Shanghai and they have determined that he is 100% ALL BOY: chromosome testing showed all male chromosomes only and a complete ultrasound showed all male organs only! He needs 1 surgery to descend his testicles (they are in the canal) and he will need hormone treatment that he cannot get in China (but that he can easily get here in the US). With this surgery and hormone treatment his SN should resolve itself and the difference should be noticeable within 3 months.
